Director
Amanda Muhammad is an accomplished educator and administrator with a passion for advancing student achievement, social-emotional development, and educational equity. As Director, she brings more than 15 years of leadership experience across early childhood education, K-12 education, youth development, and nonprofit program management.
Amanda holds a Master of Arts in Education with a concentration in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Early Childhood Development from Wayland Baptist University. She has led large-scale child development centers within the U.S. Army system, managed nonprofit youth programs, and taught across multiple grade levels, specializing in literacy improvement and student success strategies.
Her career includes significant leadership in managing multi-million-dollar program budgets, overseeing NAEYC accreditation processes, implementing evidence-based curriculum, and supervising large teams of educators and support staff. As Youth Director for the Urban League of the River Valley, Amanda has played a pivotal role in advancing college and career readiness initiatives, equity programming, and holistic support for underserved youth.
Amanda is known for her expertise in student-centered learning, social-emotional development, data-driven instruction, professional development, and program evaluation. She is passionate about creating environments that foster academic excellence, leadership, resilience, and lifelong learning among young people.
